Bathroom Floor Cabinet

Some people do not keep a lot of their possessions in the bathroom and their cabinets are filled with the basics like a toothbrush, floss and toilet paper. Others have a bit more to store in their bathrooms and find themselves running short on space. The typical bathroom has one or two cabinets below the bathroom sink and a bit of storage space for smaller items in behind the bathroom mirror. When that space is simply not enough to hold toiletries and extra bathroom items a bathroom floor cabinet is the perfect item for the bathroom. This piece of furniture adds just the right amount of extra storage space.

Bathroom floor cabinets are a great piece of furniture for extra storage and a bit of extra decoration in an otherwise sparse bathroom. There are tall bathroom floor cabinets that extend from the floor up to about a few inches below the ceiling. Bathroom floor cabinets can be smaller as well and only reach about waist height. The tall and slim nature of this type of cabinet makes them excellent for non bulky storage space.

Some have a lower shelving portion that is usually concealed with a cabinet door while the upper portion may have some shelving that is open so decorative items can be placed there. If there is very limited space in the bathroom there is a great type of cabinet that does not take up any floor space at all. This type of cabinet stands around the toilet so that the floor space is unobstructed. There are two cabinet legs that stand on either side of the toilet and the cabinet portion sits above the toilet tank.

If the bathroom floor cabinet has lower shelves that are concealed, the lower shelves can be used to store items that are better stored out of sight like toilet paper, extra boxes of tissues, shampoos, and toothpastes. Any exposed shelving can be decorated with a small bowl of potpourri or a large glass jar filled with decorative soaps or bath bubbles.

Bathroom floor cabinets can be found in any color or stain to match the bathroom. There are basic white painted bathroom cabinets as well as wood cabinets that are stained light and dark. Antique bathroom floor cabinets can even be found to decorate a more antique bathroom or to fit in with the decor of an old or historic home.
